The Suite life comes with benefits. Lots of them.

The Suite Life is more than just points.

PointSuite will match you with credit cards that reward you in many ways.

  • Fly first class on points and enjoy amazing in-flight meals like this one on Singapore Airlines from LAX to Tokyo NRT

    Points for flights

The right credit cards can unlock access to cheap flights, including in premium cabins. Wondering what it’s like to fly business class or the difference between business and international first class? Check it out.

  • Stay at hotels on points and get complementary elite status for free upgrades and other perks. Pictured: Hyatt Mar Monte in Santa Barbara California

    Hotel rooms and elite status

Some cards can get you an automatic bump to top-tier status with major hotel chains - good for free upgrades, breakfast, or late check-out. And using points can get you access to most hotels for next to nothing. So stay longer or upgrade to something ultra lux. It’s on points.

  • Get access to lounges at airports and events. Enjoy amenities like this nap room at the American Express Centurion LAX Los Angeles.

    Lounge access

It’s not just about points. Many of the cards we recommend include access to hundreds of airport lounges around the world and special event lounges at events like Coachella or the US Open. These benefits follow you just about everywhere.

  • Skip the line

Hate lines? Us too. Luckily, many of the cards we use include complimentary TSA Pre-Check or Global Entry and some also provide Clear. Nobody likes a security line and it’s just one more comfort you’ll enjoy in the Suite Life.

  • Credits on travel, services, and goods

Premium credit cards actually give you money to spend - hundreds of dollars a year toward flights and hotels, hundreds more on ride-share and food delivery, and cash back offers at retailers. Because free is the best price.

  • Exclusive access

Some cards get access to hard-to-find tables at the nation’s top restaurants and first dibs on tickets to concerts, festivals, and sporting events. Plus, complimentary concierge services can make reservations or even plan trips for you. Now that’s luxury.

Flights

You can redeem points for a variety of in-flight experiences, including economy. But you already know what that looks like so here are some more exciting options.

Domestic First Class & International Premium Economy

This is what most people think of when they hear “first class”: wider seats, more legroom, and better food. You’ll get more seat recline, too, but no lie-flat bed.

Business Class

My bread and butter - business class redemptions are usually the best value for your points and, for most people, afford all the luxury you want on a flight. You’ll get a lie-flat bed, nice champagne, delicious food, space, and privacy. Perfect for working or getting some rest on a long flight. It’s hard to put a price on arriving at your destination rested.

International First and Suites Class

This is the apex of commercial travel and only a step below flying private. You’ll have a special airport check-in experience and access to exclusive lounges; you’ll get luxe bedding and amenities supplied by luxury brands like Lalique; you’ll be served unlimited expensive champagne (like $700 vintage Krug); eat caviar and Michelin-quality meals; and have your every wish attended to by the best crews in the sky. Many products include closing doors, multiple screens, and a dedicated full-sized bed (not just a chair that turns into one). Believe me when I tell you, you’ll wish the flight was longer.

Lounges

Find out which credit cards can get you into the lounge.
We get it. You don’t love going to the airport. But what if there were an oasis of space, quiet, complimentary sit-down meals, showers, free massages, and even private nap rooms? With the right credit card, your travel day can go from blah to ahhhh.

Many of the credit cards we recommend come with access to hundreds of airline and private lounges around the world. These spaces are designed for comfort and are perfect for grabbing a bite before your flight or refreshing on a long layover.

Get free cocktails and meals at many airport lounges.

The issuers of premium credit cards are in an all-out arms race to build out their own lounges with increasingly luxurious spaces and jaw-dropping amenities. The winner in this battle? You.

And it’s not just at the airport, you’ll find cardholder lounges in stadiums, at music festivals, and sporting events too. A free buffet sure beats waiting in line at concessions.

Other benefits

  • If you’ve been stuck in security for 40 minutes watching some people fly through in a couple minutes without taking off their shoes, that’s because they have TSA Pre-Check or Clear. Both are pre-screenings that get you through security in a fraction of the time and are included for free with most of the credit cards we recommend. And if you’re sick of long lines at customs coming back to the US, Global Entry can get you through in literally seconds. That, too, can be yours for free.

  • Premium credit cards come with a bevy of credits like hundreds of dollars a year back on travel purchases, hundred more for Uber or Lyft, and hundreds more a year on things like DoorDash, Walmart+, streaming services, utilities, and a rotating list of retailers.

  • Premium card issuers look out for their members by securing early access to event tickets like music festivals, concerts, and sporting events. And through partnerships with reservation platforms and famous restaurants they offer exclusive access to sought-after tables. If you’re after one of these hard-to-get experiences, the right credit card can be you foot in the door.
